Meeting was picnic Treasurer’s Report – Josh Inghram See Attached report Monthly Beekeeping Activities for October – Bee activity will be at minimum as temperatures begin to drop this time of year, so feed your colonies to prepare them for the cold months ahead and install mouse guards at the hive entrances. If necessary, move the hives to a location protected from the wind and harsh winter elements, and be sure to have proper ventilation and moisture control in place Old Business ·         Updates from sponsored youth: Both are doing well no honey this year and hives are being prepared for winter ·         Upcoming meetings/seminars MSBA Fall Conference – October 10, 2020, 8:30 am to 4:05 pm, Zoom Conference ISBA Fall Meeting has been cancelled ISBA Bonus mtg at Dadant’s in Hamilton, IL in March 2021 (more details to come) New Business Beginner beekeeper course – planning committee Amy Rainbolt Debbie Love Jim Reese Penny Gary Coughman, Josh Ingrum Stain Fall Beekeepers Day at Farm & Home Supply, October 17, 2020, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm This was successful and we will plan to do another event in January prior to the first class.
