All right, guys, we are now ready to start module eleven. This is a pretty interesting module. It talks about the carrier setup packet. This is very, very important for when we are recruiting drivers. And there's a procedure that we have to go through to make sure that they have all their necessary company information on file. So let's get right to the point. Let's do it. Okay, so a carrier setup packet. So carrier setup packet is a collection of documents put together by a dispatcher or a carrier that identifies the carrier company, okay? A carrier setup packet is going to include a W-Nine, authority, and insurance, okay? Most of the time, those are the three main documents that are going to be put together for what's called a set-up packet for the carrier. Now, these documents are provided to the broker by the dispatcher or carrier in order for them to process payments for services rendered. when setting up with a broker you will provide these documents to a broker in addition to signing a broker carrier agreement which is provided via the broker okay so when you are looking for loads for a carrier for your carrier okay and let's say you find the perfect load out on a load board from a broker that has a load posted. When you call that broker and you ask for that load, they are going to check to see if you have done business with them before. If you have not, you are going to have to get what's called set up. with that brokerage okay and being set up consists of um providing documentation okay which like I say is your w-nine your authority and your insurance so that they can um pay you okay once services have been rendered um they will a part of um what they'll be asking you to fill out Because they're going to send you paperwork as well. They'll want you to fill out their broker carrier agreement. They'll also be asking, you know, for financial information, banking account information, you know, so that they can pay you once the services have been rendered. But this is just important because I want you to understand the terminology. Okay, you have carrier setup packets. You have broker packets, okay, which is what they provide to you. And then brokers also have what's called customer packets or shipper packets, which is what they provide to shippers when they are establishing a business relationship with them. So there's just a lot of terminologies that are kind of similar. Carrier packet, I mean, I'm sorry, carrier setup packet, broker packet, shipper packet. You know, there's a lot. So I just want you to be clear on the terminologies for these packets. So this is, again, this is what is called a carrier setup packet, okay? And this comes from the carrier or the dispatcher and goes to the broker. You will learn about the additional type of packets later in the course, or if you have not already. OK, so again, I told you this was going to be a very quick, quick chapter. This is going to conclude this chapter. And as always, I want to thank you for your time and I will see you in the next video. Okay, guys, that was very, very quick. Carrier packets are really straightforward and simple. It is an agreement that we have to send the carrier between the broker and the carrier, and it will have a list of legal documents that are required, such as a W- uh, and things of that nature, uh, the authority, uh, paperwork that the driver possesses. So it's just, um, a way of having all the information, uh, compiled into a driver profile. And this, um, all this information is, is retained by the broker. Any questions on a carrier packet? This is something that you'll deal with on a regular basis. Now, if a driver is not certified, um, If we recruit a driver or find a driver that wants to drive for one of the specific companies that we do business with, then they must have a carrier packet on file. So it's very important that you understand what's involved in a carrier packet. So are there any questions? All right. I will take it that you understand everything. It's pretty simple, and it's a pretty straightforward process. This will end the module on how to provide a carrier setup package.
