Yeah. 00:03:17:10 - 00:03:22:06 Somebody that doesn't have ADHD or autism and doesn't have traumas and, 00:03:22:12 - 00:03:25:24 well, neurotypical is without 00:03:26:00 - 00:03:29:13 all of that is the quote unquote normal. 00:03:29:13 - 00:03:31:03 But like, okay, 00:03:31:03 - 00:03:34:16 we use that to say 00:03:34:17 - 00:03:38:00 basically not autistic and not ADHD, 00:03:38:01 - 00:03:42:15 not ADHD, but like, okay, neurotypical doesn't 00:03:42:15 - 00:03:48:11 just mean that they don't have ADHD and OCD and stuff like that. 00:03:48:13 - 00:03:52:22 It also means that they don't have other things 00:03:52:27 - 00:03:56:27 such as narcissism and that sort of thing, because like 00:03:57:00 - 00:04:01:11 and like, it's so weird how like people seem to have 00:04:01:14 - 00:04:04:25 this like dialog of, 00:04:04:25 - 00:04:10:04 like neurotypicals, just like completely being heartless and, 00:04:10:04 - 00:04:13:26 and disingenuous towards neurotypicals. 00:04:14:03 - 00:04:17:12 But if that were really the case, that would 00:04:17:12 - 00:04:21:18 then mean that neurotypicals lacked empathy, 00:04:21:20 - 00:04:25:11 which is still a neuro divergence 00:04:25:11 - 00:04:29:27 because a lack of empathy is not quote unquote normal. 00:04:30:02 - 00:04:35:13 That's still like there's one literal word, a psychology 00:04:35:13 - 00:04:39:26 psychological disorder that causes a lack of empathy. 00:04:39:26 - 00:04:42:26 In fact, there's many that cause a lack of empathy. 00:04:42:29 - 00:04:46:11 So if neurotypicals were really that heartless 00:04:46:11 - 00:04:52:13 and thus lacked the empathy, then they would thus not be neurotypicals. 00:04:52:15 - 00:04:54:23 So what you're saying is, is neurotypicals probably 00:04:54:23 - 00:04:58:01 don't exist. It's cool. 00:07:42:05 - 00:07:47:09 I legit did not know that I was allergic to peanuts 00:07:47:12 - 00:07:51:21 until I was 24, 24, 23. 00:07:51:26 - 00:07:56:05 And I was like, I had a really bad coughing fit, and my chest got tight 00:07:56:05 - 00:08:01:02 and like, my at the time boyfriend, my now ex, he was like, Hey, you okay? 00:08:01:03 - 00:08:03:18 And I was like, Yeah, my chest is just kind of, you know, tight. 00:08:03:18 - 00:08:06:27 Like, like, you know, like after Peanuts, 00:08:06:29 - 00:08:10:28 he whipped around so fast because he was sitting in front of me. 00:08:10:28 - 00:08:12:11 We were watching TV. 00:08:12:11 - 00:08:13:13 He turned around. 00:08:13:13 - 00:08:14:10 So fast. 00:08:14:10 - 00:08:16:28 He’s like, Baby, is that what happens to you? 00:08:16:28 - 00:08:18:21 Right? Are you okay? 00:08:18:21 - 00:08:19:07 Yeah. 00:08:19:07 - 00:08:22:20 No, just, you know, when you eat peanut butter and, like, 00:08:22:20 - 00:08:24:00 it kind of sticks and it. 00:08:24:00 - 00:08:26:28 And it makes your chest hurt. 00:08:27:00 - 00:08:28:24 That's 00:08:28:24 - 00:08:30:06 that's not. 00:08:30:06 - 00:08:32:29 That's. And, 00:08:39:08 - 00:08:41:23 yeah, my whole life did not know that. 00:08:41:23 - 00:08:46:17 And because I did not know that after I drank milk, I convinced myself 00:08:46:17 - 00:08:50:25 I was fucking fine and was quote unquote fine. 00:08:50:25 - 00:08:53:04 Like there was still shit wrong with me. 00:08:53:04 - 00:08:56:21 But because I was under like the mindset 00:08:56:21 - 00:09:00:08 of Everything's fine, it's fine. 00:09:00:10 - 00:09:04:03 Nothing affected me the way that it probably should have. 00:09:04:06 - 00:09:05:06 Yeah. 00:09:05:06 - 00:09:10:10 So the like, the ignorance is bliss kind of applied there, huh? 00:09:10:13 - 00:09:11:18 Kind of, yeah. 00:09:11:18 - 00:09:14:15 So like, if that is the case, 00:09:14:15 - 00:09:19:20 was I neurotypical growing up and now am neurodiverse. 00:09:19:20 - 00:09:20:11 Well, no. 00:09:20:11 - 00:09:26:19 See that's where masking and like literally disregarding your own stuff 00:09:26:19 - 00:09:30:13 a lot of times is caused by the environment and who you're raised around 00:09:30:13 - 00:09:31:19 and their level of knowledge. 00:09:31:19 - 00:09:35:26 Like if they don't know what the answer is and they're not really generally 00:09:35:26 - 00:09:37:29 concerned about it and they would probably say 00:09:37:29 - 00:09:40:11 something along the lines of it's fine, don't worry about it. 00:09:40:11 - 00:09:41:29 Like that happens all the time. 00:09:41:29 - 00:09:46:08 Okay, So just out of curiosity, I googled or rather 00:09:46:08 - 00:09:51:14 I “binged” neurotypical versus Neurodivergent 00:09:51:17 - 00:09:54:15 neurotypical, describes someone with typical 00:09:54:15 - 00:09:58:29 neurological development who thinks and processes information 00:09:58:29 - 00:10:02:28 in typical in ways typical within their culture. 00:10:03:05 - 00:10:08:21 Neurodivergent refers to individuals whose neurological development 00:10:08:21 - 00:10:12:00 and functioning are atypical, diverse, 00:10:12:07 - 00:10:15:24 or a deviation from what is considered standard. 00:10:16:01 - 00:10:18:18 Not to mention, the developmental milestones 00:10:18:18 - 00:10:22:08 are at different points for Neurodivergent versus neurotypical. 00:10:22:11 - 00:10:24:04 Well, yeah, there's there's definitely way more 00:10:24:04 - 00:10:26:28 that goes into it that it's just like the basics. 00:10:26:28 - 00:10:31:10 Answer Yeah, but like still though, that doesn't clear 00:10:31:13 - 00:10:37:13 define like that's, that's, that defines neuro... 00:10:37:15 - 00:10:40:23 Ness.. In the same vague 00:10:40:23 - 00:10:44:14 ways as horoscope stuff does, 00:10:44:16 - 00:10:49:00 especially when using those specific definitions. 00:10:49:03 - 00:10:54:18 Someone who is neurotypical to their specific culture or region. 00:10:54:22 - 00:10:58:20 Like if we're comparing, if we're just talking about how 00:10:58:20 - 00:11:02:27 somebody is risen and whether they fit into the social 00:11:02:27 - 00:11:07:06 norms, whether they think like everybody, whether they do things like everybody, 00:11:07:12 - 00:11:12:11 if we're just comparing them to everyone around them, then everyone is 00:11:12:11 - 00:11:18:09 neurotypical slash neurodiverse compared to anybody else, you know. 00:11:18:09 - 00:11:22:14 And the best part about it is that's why it's always called a spectrum. 00:11:22:14 - 00:11:26:04 Everybody is is actually somewhere on a spectrum. 00:11:26:04 - 00:11:29:06 It depends on which spikes stand out the most as to 00:11:29:06 - 00:11:32:09 whether that's something that, again, that affects their daily life. 00:11:32:09 - 00:11:37:22 For example, auditory processing, verbal processing, somebody could say something. 00:11:37:22 - 00:11:40:16 And it sounds like a completely different word to me. 00:11:40:16 - 00:11:42:04 And it happens a lot of time 00:11:42:04 - 00:11:45:25 when you're talking to me, you'll say something and you'll be like “Hey...” 00:11:45:27 - 00:11:49:05 this and this, and I'll turn and be like, What? 00:11:49:07 - 00:11:51:09 What did you just say to me? 00:11:51:09 - 00:11:54:11 What the alien milked sasha? 00:11:54:14 - 00:11:56:11 What? 00:11:56:13 - 00:12:01:23 So you know that you said printer, right? 00:12:01:25 - 00:12:03:24 So God, 00:12:03:24 - 00:12:09:09 Shout out to vine... *laughter* for real though, but like, okay, something else 00:12:09:09 - 00:12:14:14 that's significant impacts my daily life is executive dysfunction. 00:12:14:14 - 00:12:18:18 Whereas when you're so absorbed trying to the best way 00:12:18:18 - 00:12:22:20 I've seen it described was somebody used one of these. 00:12:22:20 - 00:12:26:02 If you envision since you don't have a visual here, 00:12:26:02 - 00:12:30:11 if you envision a ballpoint pen would be considered a neurotypical, 00:12:30:11 - 00:12:34:27 you take the cap off, you have one pen you write out, you have one task 00:12:34:27 - 00:12:39:00 you can do and you can do this one task and focus on it. 00:12:39:02 - 00:12:43:23 And then the the executive dysfunction brain or maybe the ADHD brain 00:12:43:25 - 00:12:47:09 is kind of like one of those pens that has ten or 00:12:47:12 - 00:12:49:29 yeah, ten or 12 colors. 00:12:49:29 - 00:12:55:13 And we're sitting here going, okay, well, we got to do take out the trash well, 00:12:55:13 - 00:12:56:20 We got to mow the lawn. Well, 00:12:56:20 - 00:12:59:29 we got to think about packing our bags so we can go to the store. 00:13:00:06 - 00:13:03:20 We have all these different thoughts that take up different colors, 00:13:03:22 - 00:13:06:27 and then we try to open them all up at the same time. 00:13:07:05 - 00:13:11:03 And it will not go out because all of them are trying to share 00:13:11:03 - 00:13:13:01 the same output, the same path. 00:13:13:01 - 00:13:17:23 And so we run into executive dysfunction where we cannot actually 00:13:17:25 - 00:13:22:03 get a task done that we would normally be able to get done. 00:13:22:06 - 00:13:26:25 And that's where it impacts my daily life, too. 00:13:26:28 - 00:13:30:09 You know, like I try to get dishes done every single day, 00:13:30:09 - 00:13:32:27 but sometimes they sit for a little while. 00:13:32:27 - 00:13:38:17 In fact, in the past, when it was worse, it used to turn into a science experiment. 00:13:38:20 - 00:13:42:01 I'm so glad that we switch off dishes the way that we do, 00:13:42:01 - 00:13:45:27 because then, like, we don't we don't have any set schedule. 00:13:45:27 - 00:13:50:16 We don't like get on to each other about the dishes because we both we, 00:13:50:23 - 00:13:54:24 when it comes to chores around the house, like we both understand 00:13:54:24 - 00:13:58:02 that the other is like going through their own fucking struggles. 00:13:58:02 - 00:14:02:11 So like we do little things to help the other. 00:14:02:11 - 00:14:02:25 Such as? 00:14:02:25 - 00:14:09:12 Like for her, she has a PDA where if you tell her like, 00:14:09:14 - 00:14:15:24 go do this, her automatic like brain response 00:14:15:27 - 00:14:20:27 is “The fuck I am.” right, and it's not even a choice. 00:14:20:27 - 00:14:23:27 My brain literally just turns off function. 00:14:24:02 - 00:14:27:02 Yeah, it's like a resistor. 00:14:27:02 - 00:14:32:10 Like if you if you are too demanding, if you are to give me, then. 00:14:32:10 - 00:14:33:25 Then she definitely has a pool. 00:14:33:25 - 00:14:37:27 So in order to not trigger PDA, 00:14:37:27 - 00:14:43:03 instead of saying like, Hey, I really want to do this, 00:14:43:06 - 00:14:47:04 or Hey, you should go do this, or Hey, 00:14:47:06 - 00:14:48:17 like, let's go do this. 00:14:48:17 - 00:14:50:13 I will instead. 00:14:50:13 - 00:14:54:26 Like, what works really good is whenever you say things like, Hey, 00:14:54:28 - 00:15:00:09 you don't have to, but like, it'd be really cool if . 00:15:00:12 - 00:15:03:18 Yeah, which is ironic because that's something 00:15:03:18 - 00:15:06:22 that I've said my whole life and I don't know why. 00:15:06:22 - 00:15:08:04 I don't know what started that. 00:15:08:04 - 00:15:14:24 But everyone, almost everyone would get so pissed off around me like, no joke. 00:15:14:24 - 00:15:18:05 My parents, my stepdad especially, 00:15:18:08 - 00:15:22:22 he would get on my ass if I would say anything 00:15:22:22 - 00:15:26:11 along the lines of like, Well, I don't know, you don't have to. 00:15:26:11 - 00:15:30:00 But like, if I hesitated at all, he would be like, 00:15:30:00 - 00:15:34:04 Just answer the fucking question or ask the fucking question like he he was. 00:15:34:04 - 00:15:37:29 So get to the point. 00:32:51:21 - 00:32:53:19 And we will be like, Yeah, okay, sure. 00:32:53:19 - 00:32:54:26 We'll double fact check that. 00:32:54:26 - 00:32:55:29 We'll get it settled. 00:32:55:29 - 00:32:58:06 That that's something else that I've noticed 00:32:58:06 - 00:33:02:12 is that the people who are quote, neurodiverse tend to be more accepting 00:33:02:12 - 00:33:06:07 of change and more willing to accept newer, 00:33:06:07 - 00:33:10:28 more accurate information readily versus trying to argue the point. 00:33:11:01 - 00:33:14:28 You know, we will argue our stance if we have supporting evidence, 00:33:14:28 - 00:33:15:29 but it's easy 00:33:15:29 - 00:33:20:11 enough for us to take new information and go, okay, yeah, that makes sense. 00:33:20:13 - 00:33:25:23 Whereas a lot of quote neurotypicals that I have personally experienced 00:33:25:25 - 00:33:28:22 tend to be more reluctant to accept new information 00:33:28:22 - 00:33:33:21 or they seem quotes like set in their ways kind of. 00:33:33:23 - 00:33:37:03 So that was just something else that has occurred to me. 00:33:37:09 - 00:33:41:26 But again, in my own experience and not a professional opinion 00:33:41:26 - 00:33:42:24 or anything like that, 00:33:42:24 - 00:33:45:27 you know, again, we're just kind of talking about our existence. 00:33:45:27 - 00:33:49:18 So there is no real rock solid way of viewing things. 00:33:49:18 - 00:33:53:04 This just this is what our take is on it and what we've experienced. 00:33:53:04 - 00:33:56:11 So that being said, 00:33:56:13 - 00:34:00:17 we have kind of like brainstormed and just kind of like had philosophical 00:34:00:19 - 00:34:04:09 discussions about like when ish 00:34:04:14 - 00:34:09:09 a system can be formed because like it almost 00:34:09:11 - 00:34:11:14 went into an argument 00:34:11:14 - 00:34:15:06 because we had different information 00:34:15:09 - 00:34:18:19 and we like both had to take a step back and be like, okay, 00:34:18:21 - 00:34:22:07 this person isn’t arguing with me because they think I'm wrong. 00:34:22:08 - 00:34:26:20 This person is arguing with me because they have different information. 00:34:26:22 - 00:34:29:22 Take a step back, breathe. Okay. 00:34:29:25 - 00:34:33:28 So the research that I had done had led me to believe, 00:34:34:00 - 00:34:38:03 like systems could only be formed between like the ages of, 00:34:38:03 - 00:34:42:11 I want to say, like seven and 12 or something like that 00:34:42:13 - 00:34:45:03 for like DiD specifically. 00:34:45:03 - 00:34:49:12 And she said that like, no, 00:34:49:12 - 00:34:53:10 I think you can like form systems 00:34:53:10 - 00:34:59:01 as late as like 25 or that there is no age limit even 00:34:59:03 - 00:35:02:10 and that there is no like minimum age and all this stuff. 00:35:02:10 - 00:35:07:22 And I was like, that's incorrect, my love, because of this and this, this. 00:35:07:22 - 00:35:09:20 And she was like... uhhh 00:35:09:22 - 00:35:11:15 actually 00:35:11:15 - 00:35:16:07 like, like not to disagree, but this, this and this.. I had found 00:35:16:13 - 00:35:20:29 I had found a couple of college papers that were peer reviewed, 00:35:20:29 - 00:35:24:00 and I tried to find those articles again, 00:35:24:00 - 00:35:27:06 but it has been long enough that I couldn't readily find them. 00:35:27:06 - 00:35:31:17 So if anybody wants to to find this information, 00:35:31:19 - 00:35:36:19 I'm hoping it's still out there and available where they were talking about 00:35:36:21 - 00:35:39:15 where an older person had developed 00:35:39:15 - 00:35:43:00 a system, despite the fact that they had never experienced trauma 00:35:43:00 - 00:35:47:20 and were having zero signs of a system throughout their lives. 00:35:47:22 - 00:35:50:13 The other side of that coin is, is my system 00:35:50:13 - 00:35:54:19 was actually formed much younger than the age range 00:35:54:21 - 00:35:58:09 because of the trauma that I experienced that I'm not really quite 00:35:58:09 - 00:36:02:16 ready to share yet, but it impacted me enough 00:36:02:19 - 00:36:06:28 that I was aware that I was not alone in my head. 00:36:07:00 - 00:36:09:14 Much younger than the age range. 00:36:09:14 - 00:36:13:06 And so between those two pieces of information, 00:36:13:06 - 00:36:17:20 I had kind of formed the opinion, again, my own opinion, 00:36:17:22 - 00:36:22:28 that I don't know that there is an actual age restriction 00:36:22:28 - 00:36:27:03 on becoming a system, although one thing is for certain, 00:36:27:06 - 00:36:31:15 you're not just automatically a system like that's something that we did agree 00:36:31:15 - 00:36:36:16 on, is that you're just you're not what's called an endogenic system 00:36:36:16 - 00:36:41:29 where that goes into a whole nother like type of an argument that people have. 00:36:42:01 - 00:36:47:10 But the reason I say this is because there are people in the world 00:36:47:10 - 00:36:51:16 who remember their birth, and that can be a very traumatic experience 00:36:51:16 - 00:36:54:18 and likely is pretty traumatic for most everybody. 00:36:54:18 - 00:36:56:24 And that's why it's forgotten. 00:36:56:24 - 00:37:01:00 So I'm of the opinion that if you're a system 00:37:01:00 - 00:37:05:18 basically from birth, it's because you were traumatized by the birth. 00:37:05:18 - 00:37:08:25 And that's that's an opinion, mind you, based off 00:37:08:25 - 00:37:12:01 of like just study and things like that that I've read. 00:37:12:01 - 00:37:14:21 So if I'm wrong there, I will totally accept that I'm wrong. 00:37:14:21 - 00:37:19:28 But just kind of an opinion of mine on the formation. 00:37:20:01 - 00:37:23:08 And like we we had talked about this the other day 00:37:23:08 - 00:37:29:16 and like the more we talked about it, the more I halfway agree with that 00:37:29:16 - 00:37:36:10 and still do because like the more I think about it DiD and OSDD 00:37:36:12 - 00:37:40:00 they are like personality 00:37:40:02 - 00:37:46:03 slash dissociation disorders, right. 00:37:46:06 - 00:37:48:12 And like I I'm 00:37:48:12 - 00:37:52:07 with the research that I have done since then 00:37:52:09 - 00:37:56:24 since that conversation because I did do a smidge, little more digging into it. 00:37:56:27 - 00:38:00:23 Mind you, not a whole lot of spoons and time lately, but 00:38:00:26 - 00:38:01:27 still a little bit of digging. 00:38:01:27 - 00:38:05:03 And from what I have gathered, it's 00:38:05:03 - 00:38:08:27 my opinion that, like typically 00:38:09:00 - 00:38:12:00 it is between those ages. 00:38:12:06 - 00:38:17:15 And again, kind of like I said that night if it is paired with other things 00:38:17:21 - 00:38:20:15 such as like PTSD, 00:38:20:15 - 00:38:25:14 if you go through something that traumatic later in life, I like, 00:38:25:14 - 00:38:29:23 I don't see why a personality disorder may form. 00:38:29:23 - 00:38:33:07 I mean, things like narcissism and stuff like that can form 00:38:33:07 - 00:38:37:09 in the blink of an eye due to something traumatic later in life. 00:38:37:11 - 00:38:40:23 I wonder how many returning veterans that have experienced 00:38:40:23 - 00:38:44:15 a lot of trauma overseas or in like combat 00:38:44:22 - 00:38:47:24 have experienced a system or some type 00:38:47:24 - 00:38:52:02 of dissociative stuff, especially when it comes to that sort of thing? 00:38:52:02 - 00:38:57:03 Because like another thing about a personality disorder, specifically 00:38:57:06 - 00:39:01:28 a personality disorder isn’t your brain making little friends. 00:39:01:28 - 00:39:05:21 It isn’t company, it is your brain 00:39:05:23 - 00:39:09:16 trying to mask itself so hard 00:39:09:18 - 00:39:15:11 to protect itself and you from whatever is happening 00:39:15:13 - 00:39:18:18 that you literally basically 00:39:18:18 - 00:39:21:18 form this concrete mask. 00:39:21:22 - 00:39:25:26 You know, the way of kind of say it slightly different. 00:39:25:26 - 00:39:30:19 I've always been the opinion of it's your brain's self defense mechanism 00:39:30:19 - 00:39:35:29 to shield part of you and create a entity that can handle 00:39:35:29 - 00:39:39:12 that situation that is strong enough to handle that situation. 00:39:39:12 - 00:39:42:12 So your brain makes somebody that can handle it. 00:39:42:13 - 00:39:42:25 Yeah. 00:39:42:25 - 00:39:46:16 Like, yeah, that's what I meant by the mask, is like 00:39:46:16 - 00:39:52:19 Literally your alters aren’t just little friends inside your head. 00:39:52:19 - 00:39:54:04 They aren't just little characters. 00:39:54:04 - 00:39:55:22 They serve a role 00:39:55:22 - 00:39:58:06 They are protectors. 00:39:58:06 - 00:39:58:26 They ser.. 00:39:58:26 - 00:40:01:26 Yeah.
