Theory Series, Beyond Pokemon Go. (NSFW) There is more than meets the eye. You look one way, you miss a detail the other way... What is Pokemon? (For Newcomers) The Origin of Pokemon (U.S.) Released in 1998, a cartoon show about when kids become the age of 10 and up, they have the option to become Pokemon Trainers. Pokemon are "animals/creatures" that have elemental powers and it's a Pokemon Trainers job to capture Pokemon, train them, go to Pokemon Gyms and battling other Pokemon Trainers to become a Pokemon Master by acquiring badges. Get To Know Pokemon Go... Pokemon Go is an mobile gaming app that was created in 2016, that allows users to go in the real world to capture Pokemon. By going in the real world playing a game, allows users to interact with buildings to gain experience points, items to catch pokemon and even help other trainers that may stop there by uploading a video of said buildings. By bringing real world interface to a game, it has brought joy to many that are avid Pokemon fans, living out a childhood dream! Here Is Where My Theory Begins Pokemon Go is, LIFE, set on easy, right? You have an app taking you places in the real world. Without Pokemon Go, walking around town is set on medium. Interactions with people is set on Hard mode (like a pokemon trainer battle.) Nightmare mode is when you see beyond the interactions and witness your surroundings that can be an obstacle to win. (More on nightmare mode)... Nightmare Mode! While exercising, I've noticed some areas in my surroundings, were harsher than others, which led to me thinking, that if Pokemon Gyms are supposed to be a tough battle then that means there is an obstacle that many can take on by noticing the harsher environments and arising to the challenge. For example, walking on a street that is jagged, which, one can't skateboard on it for more than a foot. In theory walking on a jagged road is like a gym battle but a battle within... afterall, there's walking on hot coals or known as "Firewalking." Attempting a firewalk is a "gym battle" within oneself. Back To Pokemon Trainer Battles... Intertwined with nightmare mode, does that mean when a surrounding is harsh, does that reflect the type of "trainers" in that area?... Meaning, the harsher surrounding represents a gym...further meaning, there must be real life "trainers" who aren't so friendly and manners must be key around that area. Treat all areas and people with respect at all times. The Open World Challenges Are Hidden... Our unopened eyes but opened minds can subconsciously detect what is and what isn't good. Our subconscious is what gives us fight or flight. Many arise to a challenge, just as many who walks away from a challenge. There are pros and cons to each response. The guilt from walking away shouldn't be there. As we regret doing such but in doing so, our subconscious is making us better by replaying what should have been done different. And not every "fight" is a win, because "fights" can lead to something we may regret doing also. Remember the proverb "Choose your battles wisely." Nightmare Mode Isn't Just Scary... In video games we correlate "nightmare mode" to having a difficult time with a level to beat. Now back to real life. If we look pass the challenges and witness the beauty of life, that in itself is a challenge because witnessing the beauty of our surroundings is difficult because does one ever stop to smell the roses? Everyone is always on-the-go-, on their phones, or avoiding the public. What Nightmare Mode Can Teach Us. Challenges in the real world can show us how brave we are or have naive we are. In the end, it will teach us how to better view the world and learn from it, instead of seeing but peering. Be careful into peering to much, because you may start to see things that really aren't there. That's when you're losing sight of the beauty of life. Trust your subconscious. Beyond The Game... In the mobile app game it's bringing users to real life landmarks, scenery and helping those with social anxiety. For instance if people are looking at you strangely for walking around holding a phone, as of late, they're probably thinking "oh that person is playing Pokemon Go." If we want to create content for youtube, tiktok, instagram and snapchat, why should our social anxiety about what people think about us, hold us back. In public we have Pokemon Go, talk on video calls, and even recording our hobbies in public... which I don't know about you but when I see myself in a self recorded video, I get anxiety, in turn, makes me self-conscious and stops me from doing what I want to do. The missing step is recording ourselves... Just combine all those listed, and voila, you're on you way to be a content creator. Silver Lining of Nightmare Mode... In the end, (in game and real world) nightmare mode, as much as it infuriates us and causes us to lose confidence in ourselves. The mode is there to make us better and stronger... That's the silver lining of it all, to constantly improve ourselves to reach our fullest potential and be who we were meant to be. Just take time to stop and smell the roses. ;) FAQ's Before you start questioning life, read these FAQs...Remember this is all THEORY!! Why is the article rated "NSFW?" Not every challenge should be taken on, may disrupt order in workplaces, home, and school environments. Obey the law and listen to your parents & teachers! Does every "rough road" mean that area is scary? No, some roads just needs working on and be careful not to look into deeper meanings that aren't there. How can I get rid of social anxiety to create content? View it as a Pokemon battle, the battle to step up to your anxiety and overcome to win that badge! Am I a Pokemon Trainer if I battle other people? Nope, being a figurative "Pokemon Trainer" goes beyond battles, like experiencing nature and the beauty it holds. The battle is to go out in public and be in awe of what nature can show you. What does "stop and smell the roses" mean? Figurative phrase, meaning stop and appreciate the beauty around us. Life goes by fast and we forget to slow ourselves down at times. What is or was The1retrominds biggest battle? Mike Tyson... Nuff said. Thank you all for viewing my website. Remember! Don't peer into everything around you to find a battle! Stop and smell the roses! Be Better!
