INSTALLATION FOR TOON TROLL, TOON TROLL HD AND TOON TROLL SR MOUNTING BRACKETS Locate top slide bracket on top flat of deck edge trim. (if possible or just behind if needed) Bracket location should allow easy access to the trolling motor when front gate is opened. Please keep in mind the length of the motor shaft as it should not stick out past side of boat. Bracket should not overhang front of deck edge trim. Either flush or slightly set back. This will be dependant upon style/type of trim. NOTE: Trimming of rubber rub rail is not required but is the best method of having a flat surface area for mount. A shim of proper thickness depending upon rubber bumper thickness can be place below rubber bumper to make a smooth transition. This helps eliminate the Toon Troll from wanting to pull down when tightening hand knob. Mark the (2) clearance holes in top slide bracket. Drill through deck edge trim and deck floor with a 7/16" drill bit. Place (2) stainless steel flat head bolts through slide bracket and through floor. Fasten with washer, lock washer and nut and tighten. UNDER DECK SUPPORT BRACKET INSTALLATION Slide TOON TROLL motor mount into top slide bracket and lightly tighten hand knob. This will help with line up and location of under deck bracket. Take under deck support bracket and line up with TOON TROLL mounting angle, with support bracket against underside of deck floor. Place hand knob (included) through clearance slot in angle and thread into under deck bracket. Lightly tighten. This will help with proper alignment of bracket location. PLEASE NOTE: On some pontoon boats, it may not be possible for underdeck angle bracket to fit tight against the deck edge trim of boat, due to a lip or other type of configuration or design. As long as the underdeck bracket is tight against the inside, this is acceptable, either against inside of deck edge or lip. Please send enclosed photo. Locate the (3) clearance holes in under deck support plate and mark. Drill (2) 7/16" clearance holes through deck floor. From top of deck, place (3) stainless steel carriage bolts through floor and support plate. Fasten under deck support bracket with flat washer, lock washer and nut. NOTE: The clearance holes on downward angle of under deck can be used to bolt to deck edge for added strength. Recommended to use proper length flat head bolts. (not included) NOTE: After installation on boat, it is recommeded that a detent or recess be drilled into toungue of unit for hand know thread to "sit" into. This will create a strong grip on unit. INSTALLATION OF TROLLING MOTOR (6) stainless steel flat head bolts, washers and lock nuts should be used with the HD unit and (4) with the standard unit (not included). Measure the length required for your model, making sure long enough to thread nut fully on. Failure to do so could cause motor to loosen. Remove side covers from trolling motor to install flat head bolts, which go through bottom of plate and up. The two back holes in trolling motor should be lined up with the two back holes in motor mounting plate. Re-install side covers ELECTRIC ANCHOR INSTALLATION The underdeck bracket is located and mounted in the same manner as for trolling motor. The appropiate nuts and bolts are needed to properly fasten to top plate. Relocating mounting holes on top plate may be required with anchors.
