INSTALLATION OF XB BRACKET The XB bracket was designed to be used on certain pontoon boats, such as the Sweetwater, due to structural interference that will not allow our standard underdeck bracket to be used. Installing the XB bracket is very simple. The bracket is placed on the deck to find proper mounting location, taking into consideration the shaft length of the motor and which side of the boat the motor will be deployed. The bracket is extruded aircraft aluminum which has a radius on the inside. Depending on the boat and style of deck edge, the bracket may or may not be completely tight against deck edge, which either is acceptable. Mark the (4) holes in bracket and drill 7/16" clearance holes through deck. Using the included hardware and aluminum plates, secure XB bracket to deck. Slide the down angle on beam assembly into front pocket of XB bracket. Insert hand knob through clearance hole in tongue and thread into hole in XB bracket. Snug only, do not over tighten hand knob.
