How to use your TOON TROLL (standard model) TOON TROLL has a pre-set nylon lock nut on center rotating bolt that does not require any adjustment. All you have to do is place locking pin in the "unlock" position, which is on the flat of the hex nut on locking pin. The "lock" position is on the ridge edge of hex nut. The yellow dot will help with positioning the pin. When motor is in stowed position, lying across front of boat, deploy motor first according to manufactures instructions. Next, put side or stowed lock pin in unlock position and rotate deployed motor so it is facing forward. Turn until lined up with hole in beam. Line the yellow dot on spring pin with flat on hex to unlock and place on hex point to place/keep in lock position. Next, use included threaded hand knob and place through clearance hole in motor mount plate and thread snug. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN! NOTE: You do not have to stow motor every time you may move to different fishing location. Simply tilt motor into deck area. Reverse the steps to stow. PLEASE NOTE: Locking spring pin is new and the clearance holes has a minimum tolerance in it. A break in period will make pins work easier. You might have to lightly press or tap on pin to lock into place when new. How to use your TOON TROLL HD (heavy duty model) The HD model uses a capture plate to keep beam in either the stowed or in use position. When position selected, simply place capture plate over threaded stud and up against edge of motor mounting plate, lying flat on beam and install threaded knob on stud. This will keep mounting plate and motor from turning. ELECTRIC ANCHOR Unit can be rotated same as electric trolling motor. Make sure anchor is stowed before rotating plate. The top plate can be locked in position permanently. A 3/8-16 stainess lock nut should be used in place of hand knob.
