1. PURPOSE
==========

The AIAST Framework establishes a structured methodology for independent
evaluation, stress testing and verification of AI agents operating in
business environments.

The objective of AIAST is to provide a repeatable and transparent assessment
of reliability, robustness, security and operational readiness of AI agents.


2. SCOPE
========

This framework applies to:
- Autonomous AI Agents
- Agentic Workflows
- Multi-Agent Systems
- AI Assistants with Tool Access
- AI-powered Business Process Automation

The framework is model-agnostic and may be applied regardless of underlying
LLM, platform or architecture.


3. CORE EVALUATION PRINCIPLES

AIAST evaluations shall be:
- Independent
- Repeatable
- Documented
- Risk-oriented
- Business-relevant

All testing activities must be performed using predefined test scenarios
and documented scoring criteria.


4. EVALUATION DOMAINS
=====================

4.1 Reliability
---------------

Measures task completion accuracy and consistency.

Examples:
- Correct execution
- Output completeness
- Repeatability

Weight: 30%


4.2 Robustness
--------------

Measures behavior under abnormal and adverse conditions.

Examples:
- Edge cases
- Incomplete inputs
- Conflicting instructions
- Long-context tasks

Weight: 25%


4.3 Security
------------

Measures resistance to manipulation and unauthorized behavior.

Examples:
- Prompt injection
- Tool misuse
- Data leakage
- Instruction override attempts

Weight: 25%


4.4 Business Readiness
----------------------

Measures practical suitability for production use.

Examples:
- Process compliance
- Human override capability
- Error recovery
- Auditability

Weight: 20%


5. SCORING

Each domain shall be scored from 0–100.

Overall AIAST Score:

AIAST Score =
    (Reliability × 0.30)
  + (Robustness × 0.25)
  + (Security × 0.25)
  + (Business Readiness × 0.20)

Maximum Score: 100


6. PERFORMANCE LEVELS

AIAST-100
    Baseline Operational Readiness
    Score ≥ 60

AIAST-200
    Production Readiness
    Score ≥ 75

AIAST-300
    Enterprise Assurance Level
    Score ≥ 90


7. VERIFICATION STATUS
======================

Agents may receive one of the following designations:
- Not Verified
- AIAST Verified
- AIAST Verified – Production Ready
- AIAST Verified – Enterprise Grade


8. REPORTING
============

Every evaluation shall include:
- Executive Summary
- Test Methodology
- Findings
- Risk Assessment
- Domain Scores
- Recommendations

Reports shall clearly distinguish between observed facts
and evaluator opinions.


9. LIMITATIONS
==============

An AIAST evaluation represents performance under tested conditions only.
AIAST verification does not guarantee future behavior, legal compliance
or absence of operational risk.


10. GOVERNANCE
==============

Future versions of the framework may be reviewed by independent experts,
industry representatives and academic advisors.
